Cargo Handling Management
Ancient cargo handling management is consistent almost exclusively of manually carrying cargo in single man-head loads. For Example, Grain/break bulk would be packed/bagged in the holds of the ship or lighter, each of a size that a man could carry on or of the ship/lighter on his shoulder. Packed/bagged cargo is a similar way to handle vice-versa. This means this is manual.
Cargo handling onboard the ship/lighter is various type mean conventional ship and or modern equipped ship is a different manner. Cargo handling, discharging, Loading, Receiving, and delivering of cargo by performing or providing ships/lighters Crane and or shore crane.
The handling of the container Ship/Railway Rake was closely linked to the destuffing at the Ports/Jetty/Yard and the supporting river craft, road, and rail networks by our handling management for moving the containers to the yard and or final destination. Similarly, Break Bulk/Bagged Fertilizer-Wheat-Rice- Stone-Machinery, etc will handle by using the highest required facilities at the unload port and any terminal of Bangladesh.
Labour handling Management operation at inland Port
After placement of loaded lighter at Jetty and or point or Ghat then our skilled laborer filled bulk cargo into bags, standard weight on the platform or digital scale and load into trucks placed at hook point which is fully manual. But time is modern for which presently is being done in two methods manually or mechanically using the excavator and or grab or crane for unloading/loading of all type of cargo or equipment or bulk cargo from Ship/Lighter.
Roosevelt Jetty, Khulna
Roosevelt Jetty (Ghat No.-7), Khulna under Mongla Port Authority is one of the best inland ports in Bangladesh since 1950. Recently the authority has repaired and re-constructed its total area of 26765 Sqm. Mongla Port is the second heartbeat and source of economic activity of the nation. Roosevelt Jetty, Ghat No-7, Khulna was built at the backyard link of Mongla Port which is known as the Lionsgate for despatching all commodities to north Bengal. So the usefulness of Roosevelt Jetty is undeniable.
The said Jetty presently has 8 points for loading-unloading cargo from/to loaded/empty lighters is fully capable. One point is capable of using Crain or excavator. Storages/Dumping facilities have also available prior permission of Mongla Port Authority and storages space is afforded for 5 lac Mton.
